After leaving the internal waters of birth, I slipped right into the waters of the Pacific. To say I grew up in the Pacific is not an overstatement. It built my character and taught me how to let go of control and relax when it overpowered me,  to connect the rhythm of the waves to the rhythm of my own heart, to be at peace with the silence under its surface, to love and cherish all creatures and their ecosystems, and to wonder about the lands beyond its vastness. I believe I owe my life, my happiness, and whatever wisdom I have to this ocean, the Pacific.

The photographs in this collection are of the places and people that live on the piece of land edging the Pacific. All the photos are about memory and attachment; photos can be like symbols or emblems for deep connections that are indescribable in any other way.
